KMDLM113 Disaster Risk Assessments for Resilience Planning

Disaster Risk Assessments have to be conducted if disaster risk reduction efforts put in place in any country should achieve meaningful results. Risk Assessments help in disaster management planning for mitigation, preparedness and response. This course therefore seeks to equip students with a theoretical understanding as well as practical skills for conducting risk assessments for Disaster Risk and Livelihoods Management (DRLM). The course forms the foundation for effective DRM and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) interventions.
