This course prepares you for supervisory roles. In one way or the other you are going to supervise children during the process of teaching and learning. As you grow in the profession you are going to supervise other teachers during the course of their work. For one to be able to supervise , that person should have sufficient knowledge of supervision processes. in this course you will study the concept of supervision, the roles of the supervisor, the models of supervision, conflict in supervision, power and authority in supervision, models of mentoring, leadership and supervision, and motivation and supervision
The approach shall be face to face and on line lectures using myHope. You shall also have tutorials and group discussions
Assessment shall be through one individual written assignment and one oral presentation
at the end of the semester you will write an examination.

Exam is weighted 70%
Assignments 30%
