The course in Neurological emergencies in general practice is designed to improve clinical skills of clinicians related to Neurology. This course addresses critical care of Neurological emergencies. This course teaches learners how to diagnose and manage pre-hospital patients with neurological emergencies. The study will focus on the process of assessing, diagnosing, planning and treating and identifying the source of neurological disorders. It is also designed to provide learners with knowledge, skills and attitudes required for perform a pre-hospital emergency assessment and care of neurological disorders. A discussion of basic anatomy and physiology of the nervous system will be done before delving into pathologies and treatment of various neurological disorders and clinical scenarios will be done.
